Hmm Goddess

I’m not one to follow Gods and Goddesses, though I’m not saying I don’t believe in some certain higher form.

What confuses me all the time, is seeing a Goddess that has certain aspects, and she has these same aspects and a few more in another culture and given a different name. It does my head in (a popular Wisbech saying)

In my thought’s I feel we no longer are a small tight knit community/village where we all need to worship some kind of deity that promises our crops to grow, or the sun to shine.

We have evolved,  so should the Gods and Goddesses.

Would be kind of funny to have a God you pray to to make sure you get your benefits.

I have given this some thought and came to the conclusion that the Guide that is appearing in my dreams lately is my personal Goddess. As of yet I don’t know her name, all I know is she has a fox at her side.

And I’m trying to stay away from reading other Goddess types else I’m just going to get confused and assume she is one of those.

When in fact I think we all should look deep inside ourselves for the God or Goddess that is within us already and not some other Deity that was worshiped in older times.

If you can relate to them, then so be it, congrats because I find it very hard to do. Back then the Gods and Goddesses would have represented things relevant to those times.

Why have we stopped higher Deities evolving with us?

  1. Yes she is YOUR friend she comes to you in a shroud YOU know,
we search the old realms to find her when truthfully we know her…within

  2. The whole thing reminds me of the patron saints in Catholic tradition. Even while the main monotheistic doctrine didn’t change much with the times, the lists of patron saints grew and changed (and still does) as people’s needs and lives and occupations changed. There are patron saints of motorcyclists, coin collectors, diabetics . . .

Maybe as modern paganism grows and spreads, our pantheon of gods and goddesses and spirits will grow and change with us, starting with your fox goddess.
